What magnesium concentration works for patch clamping cardiomyocytes?

For iCell® Cardiomyocytes, we recommend a 5 mM final concentration of magnesium (as MgATP), added to the intracellular saline solution from a freshly thawed or prepared stock solution kept on ice on the day of recording. Note that diluted MgATP is not stable in solution for extended periods of time; however, you can aliquot and store concentrated solutions at -20°C.
